Our existing summary/reports don't split out Windows 10 from other windows versions.

Trink is writing a filter looking at the "is default" rate.

Rebecca and BDS mentioned that we're also going to be interested in hours and search rates.

We'll have a separate bug for the executive summary/report. This bug is for a heka filter to do real time analysis to get what quick information we can.
Rebecca, let Trink know if we need something more than the defaults from this filter...

Trink mentions we need to run this as a report.
Summary: Real time analysis of windows 10 impact using pre-release v4 data → Custom analysis of windows 10 impact using pre-release v4 data
If you need something more than provided in #1189863 let me know (like daily reports (currently we only have weekly and monthly)). I don't see anything operational here that would require real time analysis.

I've been in conversation with :mverdi about the attached image and generating some form of report that gathers this data at least once and possibly on an on-going basis.

Their request comes in the form of wanting to see this data split by the following additional dimensions:

1) Windows OS version
2) Firefox default or !default browser

:mverdi, am I missing something else to request?

What I'd like to be sure we can do is compare usage, for example, between Windows 7 users who have Firefox set as default and Windows 8 users who have Firefox set as default.

needs info to Rebecca, any idea of the time frame to resolution?

All -- there is some analysis on this already that Saptarshi and I have been working on. I'm not going to enter it into a public bug, however. Please talk to me or Saptarshi and we can share it with you.
OS version and is-default status are available in the executive stream: https://mana.mozilla.org/wiki/display/CLOUDSERVICES/Executive+Summary+Schema

That means its available for analysis in Spark, but there is no automated report being run (e.g. to generate a csv file).

I'm going to go ahead and close this assuming you have what you need, please file a new bug if you need a report or some change to the executive stream.
