A week ago there was JavaScript checkbox on prefences/advanced tab and it's no 
more. Got lost this week.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open prefences/advanced tab.
moved to Scripts & Windows
Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Scripts & Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED → RESOLVED
Closed: 23 years ago
Resolution: --- → INVALID
Right! How couldn't I see it?!
Thanks and sorry for irrelevant bug, but really for few days, after many years 
of using Netscape/Mozilla, I didn't expect removing it from there.

This problem jumps now again, in the latest 2.5a1 trunk. I go to Preferences...->Advanced. The window is blank, when normally should show checkbox «Java» to select/deselect it.
See bug 512378, whether Java is used is controlled by the add-on manager now.
