Steps to reproduce:
I updated and restarted the browser.
Actual results:
Upon restart, I was immediately asked to update and restart again.
Expected results:
I should not be prompted to update again until an actual new update.

You are still using Firefox38....

Another workaround is to create a fresh profile and update Firefox from it, then back to your current profile.
