Using 38.0.1, typing in email reply gives garbled text.

Steps to reproduce:

Using 38.0.1, tried to type in reply to email.


Actual results:

Letters repeated with slight time delay.  Backspace was intermittent.  Could not continue.  Suspected bad keyboard.  Switched keyboards and same issue.  Downloaded vers 37.1.0 and keyboard entry was ok.
No problems at all noted either with ver. 38.0 or now using ver. 38.1.0
