RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1191182

People

(Reporter: bytehead, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:42.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/42.0
Build ID: 20150805030208

Steps to reproduce:

I checked my current set of addons.

Actual results:

I saw that all of my unsigned addons were now disabled.

Expected results:

They should be allowed, especially since they are supposed to be allowed in Nightly and Developer.
This is very problematic when I have been encouraged to run beta, and therefore unsigned, addons in Nightly!
OK, I found the magic about:config

xpinstall.signatures.required

And set that to the not-default False.

So when I reboot, I should be operating as I had been.
The default value of the aforementioned preference changed recently. That's intended behavior.
The documentation is at https://wiki.mozilla.org/Addons/Extension_Signing
