Steps To Reproduce:
1. Start Nightly on a clean profile
2. Open a new tab
3. Remove all the suggested sites from tiles
4. Visit mail.google.com / drive.google.com
5. Open a new tab again

If you see can see something like the image attached, I hope you get the issue I reported.

I am not sure about that, and I can't use mozregression yet. bug is this bug 1176506 related to this ???

If you want to, you can also manually try nightly mozilla-central builds from http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/ .

This points to a change in Firefox 40 made by Cameron. 

Note that we're thumbnailing the redirect on Google. In "good" builds the redirect page thumbnails as all white, whereas in "bad" builds the redirect page thumbnails as all black.

I'm moving this to DOM since that would seem to match to possible regressing bugs. I don't think this is a Graphics bug.

It is getting too late to fix this in FF41 given that we don't have a patch ready or in the works. This does not seem to be a release blocker for 41 either.

I never did, but not seeing any further reports of this I'll close the bug as WORKSFORME.  Please re-open if this still occurs.
