User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:39.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/39.0
Build ID: 20150806001005
Steps to reproduce:
I enabled 'mail.biff.show_balloon' via the about:config page in order to take advantage of Windows 10's new notification system.
I then sent myself several test emails with Thunderbird minimized.
Actual results:
No balloon was displayed in any situation or with any combination of mail.biff.* settings. The tray icon was displayed but the balloon did not appear.
Expected results:
A balloon (or in Windows 10, a notification) should have appeared informing me that I had new mail.

It works here (see the screenshot).
Have you updated to the latest Windows 10 build (10.0.10586) and installed the cumulative updates?

Yes, I'm still seeing this. I'm running the latest release versions of Thunderbird and Windows 10.

@greek.tu.me:
Press LEFT WINDOWS+R and type "cmd" to open the shell.
What is the build version that appears in the shell window?
10.0.10240
or
10.0.10586
?

Guys?!
I noticed a bug with the Windows 10 notification:
When I receive new messages, the usual icon in the trayicon area appear with the tool tip "you have N new messages blah blah".
But this icon never disappears even if you click in one of the messages received or if you click "Get New Messages blah blah" (if you click there and it says there are no new messages).
Is this still present in latest Thunderbird/Windows 10 version?
