Reproducible on: Firefox 43.0a1, Firefox 42.0a2 under Ubuntu 


1.Launch Firefox with clean profile.
2.Navigate to https://www.hq.nasa.gov/alsj/a11/A11Landing.mov
3.Activate the Quicktime plugin and play the video.
4.Select about 5 different points from the buffering area in order to move forward the movie.
5.Open the Panel menu and select Preferences.

ER
The Preferences tab is opened and the focus is switched to it.

AR
The Preferences tab is opened in background and the video tab remains in focus.

Additional notes:
- This issue is reproducible on Firefox 43.0a1 (2015-08-12), Firefox 42.0a2 (2015-08-12) under Ubuntu 14.04 32-bit.
- This issue is also reproducible for about:addons tab. 
- This issue is e10s specific.
- It is not reproducible on Mac and Windows platforms.

There is no quicktime plugin for Linux. What plugin exactly are you using for this test?

I am using QuickTime Plug-in 7.6.6. Here are the detailed information about it:
