Currently, I am doing custom builds with gtk2 enabled, since RHEL6 doesn't have gtk3 packages available. But in order to run builds downloaded from ftp.m.o, the RHEL6 vms in bughunter need to have gtk3 installed. See https://developer.gnome.org/gtk3/stable/gtk-building.html Replacing the RHEL6 vms with something newer is being worked on in bug 1019782 but that won't happen until Q4 or so.
I was able to build gtk3 using local centos6 64bit vm using the in-tree build/unix/build-gtk3. It produced gtk3.tar.xz which I deployed by untarring into /usr via: cd / sudo tar Jxvf path/gtk3.tar.xz sudo ./setup.sh rm ./setup.sh I was unable to build on a 32bit centos6 vm but was able to do a cross compilation on the 64bit vm via build-gtk3.sh 32 once all of the necessary 32bit library versions were installed.
