From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:0.9.7) Gecko/20011221 BuildID: 2001122106 Attempting to close tabs with the X in the corner often fails to work. The "hot-spot" for activating this function may be too small but frequently I click the X and the tab doesn't close. I have to make a point of clicking in the very centre of the X. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open some Tabs 2.Click X to close a tab 3.The tab doesn't close It might be better if the X close-tab button was actually a real button or at least given some visible boundary. It appears to line up with the RH scroll-bar but the active area is actually somewhat narrower and smaller than the Scroll bar/Tab height.
I used to see this problem, but don't anymore. Sounds like a regression of bug 107276, but I am not seeing it. Bug 104834 now gives more of a button feel, as you request.
closing a tab sometimes doesn't work for me when the associated URL was "about:blank" and I tried to close that, no matter if I press "X" or Ctrl-W or use the File dialog box. This is on Linux, build 2002022613 with XUL cache enabled.
a_geek, still there in a recent build ??
I can't reproduce this; no response for >30 days; resolving as WFM. if anyone can reproduce this bug with a recent build, please reopen.
