Steps to reproduce:

1. Have a live bookmark in the bookmarks toolbar.
2. Set up Firefox sync, tell it to sync bookmarks.
3. Create a new profile (optionally on another computer), configure sync and tell it to sync bookmarks.
4. Run an immediate sync.


Actual results:

Live bookmarks appear as empty bookmark folders on the second computer.


Expected results:

Live bookmarks should be synced correctly or not at all.

Also if you try to add the live bookmarks to browser 2 manually, they'll be broken on browser 1 next time it syncs. As a result it is only possible to have live bookmarks in one browser if you use bookmark sync.

I am also experiencing this issue.  In addition, sync re-arranged the order of my live bookmarks(in my second profile) but I do not know if that is expected behaviour.

I am experiencing the same bug, with live bookmarks appearing as empty folders in all profiles that use that Sync account.

The problem was reproduced in a new Sync account I created using a different email address.

I am also experiencing this issue. All my Live Bookmark feeds on my bookmarks toolbar have been made empty. I went through and had to hunt down the feeds again, only for it to automatically sync later and wipe them all again.

Confirming. I have live bookmarks too, and hit similar symptoms as folks on this bug thread these few weeks. Basically live bookmarks and sync don't work together now.

Bug 1195217 has logs and may be related.

Setting needinfo? from Sync peers, as a start. Feel free to move the needinfo? onwards as necessary.
