Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:40.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/40.0 Build ID: 20150807095236 Steps to reproduce: Writing a new email message. Actual results: When writing a message, sometimes (often) TB apparently starts "doing something" (syncing IMAP folders?) in the background, and when starting doing so, the cursor silently and suddenly jumps to the beginning of the text, so the text you are writing is placed at the beginning instead at the end of the text. This is an OLD bug present in previous versions, and it is very annoying. I couldn’t state what exactly was the hidden activity TB is starting. The orange cursor is present and very very slowly advancing in these circumstances. Expected results: The cursor remaining where it previously was.
Thanks lorenzo and yes, a few other users have seen this, too. Only we haven't been able to reproduce it, so any further details for reproducing are welcome. As long as we can't reproduce it, we can't fix it... In the meantime, let's consolidate this with bug 551568 for further investigation.
