Build ID: 20150812163655
Steps to reproduce:
I looked in many font related bugs but not very thoroughly, so excuse me if some one had already reported this bug.
I installed group of fonts on windoz 8.1, and (not replaced) any original windows font.
I am sure that i did not replaced any font as this problem appeared to med twice before.
Actual results:
Fonts on firefox changed badly as in this picture, while it is normal on chromium and Internet Explorer.
This on many Websites, Wikipedia, Mozilla, Facebook and so many others
Expected results:
Nothing should have happened as i did not replace any exiting font.

Jonathan, why do we choose a different font than Chrome and IE?

My guess is that the "pseudo-handwritten" font has some incorrect internal name data, such that it's being treated as part of one of the common families such as Arial.
Ahmed, if you select a part of the problem text, and then choose Inspect Element (from the Tools / Web Developer menu), and click on the Fonts tab in the inspector panel that appears, what font(s) does it report that it's using?
jdaggett may be able to help with tracing font loading and selection...

Hello Friends
I am grateful for your Help.
I tried to identify that font as my group of fonts exceeds more than 500 font, viewed the Webpage Source HTML to find what font cause the problem but could not.
As a temporary solution I've used addon "toolbar buttons" by which i add a button to disable all fonts on the WebPage.
Note that the same error occurred on Ubuntu Gnu.Linux v 14.4.1 and with firefox 31, and for some reason i don't know it also occurred on google chrome on ubuntu.
@@@@Jonathan_Kew Thanks a lot your tib solved the problem for me. I didn't know that inspect element can tell me active webpage fonts.
The Font Problem is caused by "Font Name: Georgia Regular (TrueType)"
After backup, i uninstalled that font ... and yes every thing got ok :) and fonts appeared normal. On reinstalling it again the problem occurs again.
I will attach the font file. I don't know if it is a problem in the font or in firefox and chrome linux. I consider it solved for me.
This is the font that caused the pseudo handwritten appearance On installing on Windows 8.1 or Ubuntu 14.4.1
Font: Georgia Regular

That explains things. "Georgia" is a standard font family shipped with Windows, and often specified in the CSS font-family property on web pages. By installing an additional font that uses the same family name, an ambiguity was created -- when a page asks for "Georgia" in the regular style and weight, you can't be sure whether you'll get the original Georgia Regular face that was installed with Windows, or the pseudo-handwritten face that was added.
Basically, it's a really bad idea to install unrelated fonts that have the same font family name; this is a recipe for confusing behavior. The font itself isn't strictly speaking "wrong", but because its name conflicts with a standard Windows font, it's best avoided.
So there's no actual bug here, just undefined behavior due to multiple font faces with the same name and other identifying properties.
