Reproduced on Mac OS X 10.9.5 using: *Latest 42.0a2 Aurora *Latest 43.0a1 Nightly STR: 1. Open Firefox using a clean profile (make sure e10s is enabled). 2. Navigate to any website. 3. Open a new tab page. 4. Go back to the website, select the entire URL and drag it into the new tab page tile grid. Expected Results: A tile with the visited website is created, and also pinned to the dropped location. Actual Result: The pinned tile indicator is not displayed, but the tab is pinned (tile is locked to it's position - removing a previous tile will cause the rest of the tiles to move and this one to keep it's position). Notes: This issue only affects e10s. Refreshing the page/opening another new tab will correctly displayed the pin icon. This issue only occurs on Mac OS X. It does not reproduce on Windows and Linux platforms.

The patch for Bug 1021654 actually fixes this bug, and since it's close to landing I'm wondering if it's worth just waiting for Bug 1021654 to land and fix this problem?

I'm still experiencing this behavior on 2015-09-10 Aurora and 2015-09-09 Nightly builds on a Macbook Pro (retina) with Mac OS X 10.9.5.

Product Triage: Not a blocker but a nice to have if there is time and the fix is low to medium risk.

Cant reproduce this issue in our latest Nightly 125 on MacOS 11.6. We can reopen if it starts to reoccur.
