Steps to reproduce:

I subscribed to the Mozilla announce mailing list.


Actual results:

But there is nothing about Thunderbird announcements.


Expected results:

It should mention the new Thunderbird versions in addition to Firefox.

I imagine you are referring to https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/announce mirrored at mozilla.announce.
The last Thunderbird announcement was version 17 in Nov 2012, which coincides roughly with the 2012 summit. 
I believe only Mark would know whether the lack of announcements thereafter was planned or unplanned.

iirc this probably just got accidentally dropped - we'd switched to esr and weren't announcing security updates to the list, and so I guess it was forgotten when 24 came around.

It was also always dubious how much outreach that list had compared to our other forms of messaging.

I'd like to be up to date with Thunderbird versions. Is there an official messaging place to be informed about Thunderbird announcements?
Because Mozilla announcements mailing list (https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/announce), mozilla.announce group (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/mozilla.announce) and The Mozilla Thunderbird Blog (https://blog.mozilla.org/thunderbird/) don't contain all announcements of Thunderbird.

I guess we should resume announcements, if nothing else to indicate the beast lives.

Closing because this is not a code issue, we'll just need to remember to announce/blog more widely and frequently.
