Description

+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #835677 +++

Currently the GonkGPSGeolocationProvider reads the SUPL server address and ports from preferences. In order to allow customizing them though the Settings app for easier development we should also read them from the settings database. We already read some other values from the settings database so the supporting code to hook this up is already there.

Yes, we could do that too. I remember some pref and the settings are linked this way but I don't remember their names.

It turns out if we link the pref and the settings key like Julien mentioned in comment 4, we don't need to touch the C++ code at all. So you could create a new settings key and fill the table in comment 4.

Thanks for the quick response! However, still have a lot of questions, so would it be possible to chat over IRC? Or would you prefer to communicate this way?

You could find me (kanru) on #b2g or #developers, though timezone might be a bit difficult for you (UTC+8)
Email works too.
