Steps to reproduce:

1. Create new profile. 
2. Install the latest Adblock Plus from here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/

3. Install the filter list provided as attachment.
4. Open this URL :  https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=709490


Actual results:

firefox.exe process uses100% CPU. Other page loading gets slow.


Expected results:

not so.
Started getting this hang about 3-4 days back.
Might also be reproducible on extremetech.com

about:performane also says ABP is causing significant slowdowns, with 100% CPU hit.
Also, while the URL is loading, the memory usage of firefox.exe climbs from 300MB to 800MB. When the page finishes loading, memory usage climbs down to 300MB.

yes, appears mostly to be a dupe.
though, AFAICT, I started noticing this only a few days back.
