So as part of "Firefox 41 Beta 3 Testday, August 21st"[1] I tried a Hello and the "Type here..." text is too subtle and hard to discover IMHO.

It could benefit from some darker or bold font, some kind of animation or something...

Any suggestions on how to make the Type here... a little easier to see?

Actually, I suggest we hold off on this bug until after the visual refresh work has been implemented. On our lighter layout I don't think it will be subtle or hard to see.

We could also animate it in with a quick wipe, so it looks like it's being typed in. That subtle movement might catch an eye.

Sevaan: please check if this is an issue, and if so what we should do here.

I think we can resolve this as wontfix since it's related to the old Link Clicker UI. I believe we upped the font size of "Type here..." on the old link clicker as part of another bug.
