Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:40.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/40.0
Build ID: 20150819100530
Steps to reproduce:
Clicked a downloaded file in the download list (that I got by clicking the "downwards pointing arrow" next to the address bar).
Actual results:
A wrong app was used to open the PDF file.
Expected results:
Should have opened using the default app. The default app is set correctly both in Firefox and in my OS, because:
1) If I click "Show All Downloads" at the bottom of download list, I get a new dialog. In that dialog double-clicking the same files uses the correct app.
2) If I open that downloaded app with my OS file browser - the correct app is used.
3) I checked Firefox Preferences > Applications and made sure all PDF types have the correct settings. In fact, the wrong app that is triggered from the download list is not listed anywhere there.
Why are different actions taken when clicking a file in the "quick download" list (the arrow next to the address bar) and the "download library" (show all downloads)?
