I am using the latest nightly on Windows 10. This occurs with the latest stable version of Flash as well as the latest Flash beta.

STR:
1) Go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02wns22.
2) In a new tab, go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02zfwz9.
3) Switch back to the first tab.

Actual Results:
In e10s, the spinner shows up indefinitely and Firefox shows a message about a script slowing down the browser. I am given the option to kill the plugin or web process. In non-e10s, the UI locks up for a while and eventually a popup will appear asking if I want to stop the plugin or wait for it. I am forced to open the task manager and end the task.

Expected Results:
Firefox should be able to handle multiple instances of the BBC flash player.
This is a result of the plugin sandbox being enabled.

Trevor, are you using 64-bit Firefox?

The fact that it hangs Firefox in e10s mode is being tracked in bug 1198368.

We should leave this open to track that the sandbox causes a Flash hang at all. That shouldn't happen.

Actually cpeterson says we're using bug 1197943 to track the hang.

Trevor, would you mind testing this in Beta as well? Please turn on the sandbox (set dom.ipc.plugins.sandbox-level.flash to 2) to enable the sandbox.

Brad, this hangs beta as well with the sandbox enabled. Like in comment 0, I am shown a prompt after about 10 seconds asking if I want to let the script continue or to kill it. Alternatively, if I wait, the plugin timeout will kick in after 45 seconds and kill the plugin process for me.

While opening 2 tabs with the flash player will hang the browser immediately, I noticed that opening only 1 tab with the flash player will allow the video to play, but upon closing the tab, it will hang the browser. Most likely the same problem here, but I just wanted to add that.

Please feel free to ping me if you need me to test anything else or need more info.
