So the user problem: If I first encounter Treeherder and/or Mozilla, I don't have any reference point on past Treeherder development work or recently landed features. Blog posts do exist out in the ether but I need to know http://planet.mozilla.org/ateam/ exists, and/or sift through it to find relevant content. Possible solution: It would be nice if we had an in-app blog/rss icon in the navbar which opened a page on some centralized feed of just Treeherder work. Current discussions in channel are for a Treeherder sub-planet of the Ateam aka. Engineering Productivity, on planet.m.o. at http://planet.mozilla.org/ateam/. Other options discussed are a Twitter feed of those posts, Wordpress, or similar.
I'm doing the UI/menu part for Help now (also a couple of other useful entries), so we have something to hook to when the feed is available.

Just noting this is what we'd like to add for this bug, as the 3rd Help menu entry (between Development Documentation and Project Wiki) when the treeherder feed becomes available (substituting the appropriate url):
 Development News

Now that we have the mailing list, we should just link to that from the help menu. If we start blogging in the future, we can always advertise blog posts on the mailing list.

Comment on attachment 8757936 [details] [review] [treeherder] mozilla:help-menu-mailing-list > mozilla:master Might be worth mentioning the mailing list in the documentation at some point as well.
