About a month ago I started having a problem where the master password prompt, which would almost always open when I start Firefox because of add-ons I have installed, would suddenly not allow me to type into the password field. I can press okay or cancel, but not type. Sometimes the text field is grayed out so I can't even select it, other times I can click on it but not type. If I cancel it enough times it will go away and then when it displays later I can type in it, but it's annoying to have to cancel the prompt a bunch of times each time I start Firefox. I believe this has something to do with Java trying to load a page since I have a Java applet page pinned. If I remove that pinned page, then the problem goes away.
This seems to be being caused by Roboform. When I disable the add-on the problem goes away.
I am having a possibly-related issue on FF 59 64bit on Windows 10. In order to access some test sites on my company network, I have to set "security.enterprise_roots.enabled" to true. However, if I have a master password set, it prompts me once when I change the setting, then again when I restart Firefox. (Without the enterprise roots setting enabled, it does not prompt me on startup.) Unfortunately, when the master password prompt appears at Firefox startup, Firefox hangs and has to be killed via task manager. I cannot type in the prompt or cancel. If I edit prefs.js manually to turn the enterprise roots setting back off, I can start FF again. If I then disable the master password, I can turn enterprise roots on and restart FF without a problem. So, in order to access test sites that require custom certificate authorities on a corporate network, I cannot use a master password.

:dveditz, could you have a look please?

Core::Security is not appropriate for this bug. If it was related to addons it's much more likely to be related to Toolkit Password Manager, but if you thought it was a bug in the back-end Primary Password mechanism you could argue with the "Security: PSM" folks about it.

This sounds "worksforme" if we haven't gotten more information in the last 6 years
