User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:40.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/40.0 Build ID: 20150812163655 Steps to reproduce: have 'citizengo@citizengo.org' in your address book receive an email from this address Actual results: red Warning bar: this could be 'Phishing' Expected results: no warning for mails from addresses is in my address book
OS: Unspecified → Windows 8.1
Priority: -- → P3
Hardware: Unspecified → x86_64
About the address itself: this is a non-profit organization organizing on-line petitions. Of course they send mass e-mails (but no spam) And of course when signing the on-line petition you enter your e-mail address on the web-page. But 1. I have no indication for mis-use of these data so I wonder where this warning comes from and 2. if an e-mail address is in my address book I do not want this warning at all
A phishing attempt wouldn't be very successful if it came from someone unknown now would it? (Most likely the mail contains a link that goes somewhere it doesn't look like it would go, perhaps for not necessary evil tracking purposes)
Indeed, we see address spoofing all the time. wontfix based on comment 2
