When windows-1255 is the defult encoding, wester pages display incorrectly, with
text overlapping
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
in the browser pefrences, change the defult encoding to windows-1255
Actual Results: see how mozilla.org and bugzilla pages are displayed
incorrectly (or many other western pages)
Expected Results: they should display fine

instead of using that app, please try: command (a.k.a the Apple key) - shift -
3. The image should land in the root of your startup disk.

cc nhotta. set to m99. Mac display issue. I see this kind of thing before in non
bidi page. somehow the drawstring and gettextdimension get different width.

I don't see the original overlapped, but the cursor is not in correct position
when typing something into a text field.
I'm using Mac9.1-JA
If we want to determine it to a general problem with other charsets, I need
more investigate later. But seems this problem is bidi-related.

I see nothing like this bug on either Windows or Linux with default encoding
Windows-1255, so I believe it is Mac-only

Yes, Mac only, but I can not check it on Mac OS X due bug 126277.

This bug is really annoying when tring to edit my bugzilla comments... It also
appearsit chatzilla, making it a real pain to read text with links or edit what
I am saying

This bug is targeted at a Mac classic platform/OS, which is no longer supported
by mozilla.org. Please re-target it to another platform/OS if this bug applies
there as well or resolve this bug.
I will resolve this bug as WONTFIX in four weeks if no action has been taken.
