Just a feature request i got today when creating an event copying from the irc channel 

<satdav> bittin: zoom right in or add the address on the notes 
<bittin> added the adress on the notes but could not find the place on the map, would be easier if it just would autosync the cordinates from when entering the adress
<bittin> a feature request for the future :P
<satdav> bittin: yes file a bug for that

so a more web 2.0 map experience would be neat

The problem is that the map is not updated with the address in the edit page?

yeah exactly would be easier if you could search via adress instead of coordinates for the future of the site

The problems are two for that ticket:

1. Insert the andress and get the map, in the modal window there is a search icon for that but OSM in not covered in all the world so this can be a problem. For that reason: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1183834

2. With a manual insertion of address in edit page the modal window map is not updated. The window map require longitude and latitude to change so we need a way to transform an address in longitude and latitude and we can use that also for the other ticket.

Moving this to P4 as we won't do any complicated new features and fixes for not completely broken features for events for now.

As we've moved from reps.mozilla.org to the Community Portal, I'm closing this bug. Filter out these emails by searching for "REPS_PORTAL_BUG_CLOSURE"
