User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:40.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/40.0 Build ID: 20150812163655 Steps to reproduce: Since the update to 40.0.0-.2 - On NEW instances of FF, loading any social media site like twitter or facebook Actual results: FF locks up the entire windows 7 GUI for 30+ seconds while it grinds away - FF releases the GUI after about 30-60 seconds. Expected results: Social media sites should load WITHOUT incident as before ver 40.0.0
Just applied 40.0.3 update and retested with facebook. Still same result. WIN7 gui locked for less than 30 sec this time but still locked until FF figured out what it was doing.
WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS? I SEE NOW THERE ARE MORE FOLKS COMING UP WITH SAME SYMPTOMS. BTW, IT'S NOT JUST WITH SOCIAL MEDIA EITHER IT HAPPENS ON LOT OF DIFFERENT SITES. FACEBOOK IS JUST AN EXAMPLE THAT WILL ALWAYS PRODUCE THE PROBLEM.
Que???????????????????????????????????????
FIne you ignored this. HOWEVER. 41.0.1 has CORRECTED the issue. OBVIOUSLY a FF coding issue.
