Which plugins did you expect to see that we did not pick up?
Assignee: nobody → schalk.neethling.bugs
OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, Inc. 1.4
Primetime Content Decryption Module provided by Adobe Systems, Incorporated
Shockwave Flash -> (NPSWF64_18_0_0_232.dll)

Unfortunately, there aren't any other plugins listed either Activated - or not (as for the Nightly build) on the Add-ons Manager, recently (dunno why...).

Thanx for your response.

I've just updated the Firefox (x86 build) to no avail...
On the 32 bit version the plugins appear in the update page normally.
But on the 64 bit version/Nightly (even though they are all "Activated") the page indicates:

'Plugin Status

No plugins were found. If you believe this is an error, please file a bug and let us know.

If you have a solution (plz no profile reset etc.) I'm at your disposal. Thank you.

U r right.
Indeed ...ηλεκτρόλυσις... (e10s in Greek) did the trick :-)
Oh, it's such a wonderful feature, that I decided to "sacrifice" & forget plugin check/update, in order to leave e10s on...
Hope this issue is solved in a feature Nightly update.

Thank u very much for your help.

Wish ya all da best & keep up the good work!
Δημήτριος, it's not only plugincheck that is affected.

The plugincheck failure is a symptom of the core issue, which is that Firefox/Aurora/Nightly with e10s enabled can lose the ability to start/launch plugins.

This means that, for instance, if Flash was not already started by another site before the issue starts to occur, no websites will be able to load Flash until you restart the browser.

Electrolysis still has a lot of advantages, so you may still want to leave it enabled if you don't mind occasionally not being able to load plugins without restarting the browser.
Andy, thanks for your response.

You are absolutely right, since I notice this behavior, occasionally, in case my tabs crash (hopefully not so often in the latest updates...).
Fortunately, extensions aren't affected.

Am lookin' forward for a future update, in order for these issues to be solved, since I am not willing to compromise the most TURBO FAST browsing I've ever seen, with e10s disabled.

!ηλεκτρόλυσις 4 ever!
:-)
