Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0
Build ID: 20150624141335
Steps to reproduce:
1. Have Firefox 31.8.0esr
2. Use the http://autotask.net/ website
3. Be upgraded to Firefox 38.2.1esr
4. Seemingly every single new window opened from autotask.net seems to force Firefox offline
5. Search the web and find nothing
6. Confirm about:config network.manage-offline-status is false already
7. Be unable to find a workaround for this behavior
8. Uninstall Firefox 38.2.1esr
9. Reinstall Firefox 31.8.0esr
10. Disable automatic updates
11. Profit
Actual results:
Repeated errors about being offline, failed attempts at disabling Work Offline mode (keeps coming back at successive retries to load the website's pop up pages)
Expected results:
No errors, same behavior as 31.8.0esr.
WFM with ff40 on Win 7.
Could you make a test with a fresh profile, please.

I have tested this with a fresh profile. Our Outlook Web Access is also affected. As before, reverting back to 31.8.0esr fixes the problem and everything works fine. My network connection works fine, in fact, I can run the two versions side by side using separate profile folders; one is broke and the other is not.

Nope, forget it. DNSCache 1.8.1.1-signed induced problem. This Addon is incompatible with FF beyond 31. Resolving invalid.
Here's a helpful AddOn review from someone much smarter than I:
In Firefox 32.0 turns the webrowser in offline mode Rated 2 out of 5 stars

It was good until last actualization. Worked with versions of Firefox up to 31.0. With Firefox 32.0 causes problem: extension sets Firefox in offline mode when page is reloaded (manualy or by the scripts on page). Extension is old (2011 issued) and (as I see) no longer maintained by its autor. Be careful when using it with newer versions of Fx.
