If some potential contributor finds Pontoon and would like to contribute to his language l10n, he will probably look for something like "Locale". But this is hidden under "Teams", which ho might not understand, skip and thus not find his language. "Locales" might be a better menu entry, but this might be also resolved by making Pontoon localizable.

I thought Teams was a great idea, because localizers could feel part of it and we also use it on the wiki and in Elmo. Now Osmose (during the review process), you and Pike (during our call) all think it's not the most well-chosen name, so I feel quite lonely in defending it. ;) So let's change it. Osmose and Michal both suggested using Locale(s), Pike's favourite is Localization(s). I think Localization(s) is probably less technical and some localizers might not even know what a locale is. On the second thought, the link we are about to change leads to the same page as Projects, it's just grouped differently (by locales, not projects). So they both lead to localizations. Which is why I prefer using Locale(s). Thoughts?

Well, let's do no throw in the towel so fast. When I read your comment, I think both "Team" and "Locale" has its point. As you mentioned, "Team" encourages the localizers involved they are part of something what matters. I can see "Team" is also being used on MozillaWiki and SUMO too. "Locale" is easily recognizable for newcomers, new visitors and even the current localizers getting the first impression. Used on shipping dashboard and webdashboard. "Locale" versus "Localization" makes almost no difference to me. I am not native English speaker and know both of them, so I have nothing to say more. Maybe in the menu shorter "Locale" would look better, but there are other longer entries already. If you decide to change to "Locale" or "Localization", the "Team" idea may be still relevant for bug 1200191?

Locale Teams? Language Teams? Localization Teams? Translation Teams?
