I used OS/2 Mozilla 2002011017 to save indicated URL to disk. I can't see anything wrong with it loaded from source, but when I open it from disk, the only things displayed are the menu and navigational portions at the top and left. The main body area at lower right is all whitespace. When I open it from disk in Netscape 2.02 for OS/2, it looks essentially the same as Mozilla displays the original URL. Usenet posting indicates same errant behavior on windoze Mozilla, but no problem using IE.
+qawanted clarified this is OS/2.

I wonder if bug 129696 is related? Looks like file handling might be fubar in general.
Were you saving this to a FAT drive or HPFS?
2002030816 now. HPFS. It won't save anything at all to FAT.
I think I have investigated this one before and it belongs in evangelism. The issue is this line in the HTML and others like it: <LINK rel="stylesheet" href="//www.ibm.com/data/css/v11/ns1.css" type="text/css"/> Mozilla doesn't know what to do with these URLs when downloading the page to disk so certain key pieces don't get downloaded.
The webbrowserpersist object doesn't filter URLs through URI fixup so it expects them to be correct. It will not work on on a malformed URL such as "//www.ibm.com/data/css/v11/ns1.css".
I'm actually not seeing this problem on the current build. The only thing missing is the Storage>Hard drives>Technical Support menu at the top.
This is working as best as it can in current builds. Most of the page displays (much more than did in January)
