Description:
when the user is on the new homescreen and long presses on a empty area there will be homescreen settings that appear. If the user goes into the homescreen settings and changes the amount of columns it will not be changed when they go back to the homescreen. 

Prerequisite:
Change to the new homescreen in settings.

Repro Steps:
1) Update a Aries to 20150901190824
2) Long press on a blank space in the homescreen
3) Enter homescreen settings
4) Change the amount of columns
5) Return to the homescreen
6) Observe the amount of columns

Actual:
The settings do not change the amount of columns in the homescreen

Expected:
It is expected that settings changes will be reflected on the homescreen

This issue DOES occur on Flame 2.5

The settings do not change the amount of columns in the homescreen

The new homescreen is not present in Flame 2.2.

The short of it is that setting directly modifies the settings store of the vertical homescreen and will disappear with bug 1180666.
