It looks like bug 1047058 has recently regressed: while using apps other than the Homescreen on B2G, I'm seeing the layers of the Homescreen app still being retained in the layer tree.
Fabrice, do you know if this is perhaps an intentional change, to be able to switch back to the Homescreen faster? If not, we should get a regression window because retaining the layers of an app that's not visible means we're doing extra painting work and using more memory.

Maybe it's bug 1179040 and bug 1201099 would fix it.
Confirmed regression from Flame 2.2. I'll try to get the window.
