The pin icon flashes, then is quickly swapped with the app icon. This also happens when browsing webpages, the pin icon flashes before the favicon.

This feels pretty janky and is visually distracting, we should fix it to not flash, and likely persist the old favicon until the next page is loaded.

[Blocking Requested - why for this release]: This is a new feature, but I consider it to be a regression of the UX - I think we should fix it.

The situation is a lot better than it used to be with the recent site icon work. That said, I am still seeing the flashing with the default icon very briefly. Not blocking the release on it.
Priority: -- → P2
I haven't noticed any icon flashing at all recently. Closing for now. Feel free to reopen if that gets reproducible again.
