Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:43.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/43.0
Build ID: 20150905030205

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open a new tab
2. click on Google (https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl)
3. click in text field and start typing

Actual results:

Several characters are blank. e.g., I may have typed:
   movie raleigh nc
but, the input field displays:
  movie r nc

So far, I've only seen this a few times, and always on the google page.

Expected results:

Enter actual characters typed, not spaces.
May be something related to your graphics capability, you can paste the graphics part from your about:support, so developers can have a look in advanced.

I don't think it is related to a specific OS, and you can try disabling you hardware acceleration.
try on safe mode and on a new profile too,

Let know what happens then,
Meanwhile I am taking this to Layout:text.
Thanks

This may have been a google issue... it seems to have disappeared as silently as it appeared. Closing for now.
