User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Ubuntu Chromium/44.0.2403.89 Chrome/44.0.2403.89 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Feature request:
An append only output stream that blobs can be appended to. This would enable generating in the page, and downloading to the file system, files that are larger that the available RAM. The download would block until the stream is closed.

This sounds like a feature that should be proposed to the FileAPI web standard group, since this sounds like a feature request for the web. Could you file an issue for your request at https://github.com/w3c/FileAPI/issues instead?

Note that nothing requires blobs to live in RAM, though in practice they often do in browsers.

But there is also work on streams happening, yes.
