cc'ing caving for the %s in the error message. Are you using POP or IMAP? Is the bug that you are getting a strange warning or that the login failed? Can you log on using another client but not today's build?

oh lots of questions ... Q1) Are you using POP or IMAP? A1) Both! Multiple Accounts, but ME thinks its an IMAP error, since IMAP is the Default Account, and I need to click on Get Messages on my POP account before it request a password. Q2)Is the bug that you are getting a strange warning or that the login failed? A2)Both. It basically renders mail as not usable. I get the failure, then I can open any of my account folders. Q3) Can you log on using another client but not today's build? A3) Can't use today's or yesterday's builds. 6.2 Final, and builds from last week seem to work fine. Using 6.2 now, but, that gave ME another problem for which i filled a message pane bug (rather, i updated the summary of a previous message pane bug). does this help?
Taking it. I'll look into this.
