I've used three other code review systems (Splinter, GitHub, and Reviewable) and in all of them to leave a comment on a line you just click on the line. In ReviewBoard you have to click on the line number. I had to ask on IRC to work this out.

Maybe it's just a RTFM moment, but it was surprising to me.
I agree this is annoying, but happily this is fixed in Reviewboard 2.5 which is now in release candidate. With any luck, we'll be upgrading to it soon.
