User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.10; rv:40.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/40.0 Build ID: 20150826023504 Steps to reproduce: Every time my Macbook 10.10.5 version goes to sleep or I close my lid to force sleep and I open it up Firefox 40.0.3 freezes. Tried Safari and it works fine. Actual results: It freezes for about 5-6 seconds. I can click to open a new tab five times and nothing happens, then at 5-6 seconds there are 5 new tabs opened. Same with typing in the address field. Nothing appears for 5-6 seconds, but it is all there (what I typed). Started about 2 weeks ago. Expected results: Firefox should work immediately.
If I change screens to mail or another open program and back to Firefox, it works fine then too

Anyone have any ideas?
Are you still seeing this with a newer version? Does it happen if you have started Firefox in safe mode?

The 5-10 seconds freeze also happens with Firefox ESR 38.3.0 on OS X Yosemite and El Capitan. Same symptoms, might be the same bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=969266 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1204282 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1204297

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.11; rv:45.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0 Build ID: 20151207030210 Hi, I tested this on MacBook Pro (Retina 15-inch) with FF Nightly 45.0a1 and I can't reproduce this issue, everything works as expected. Please download Nightly from here:https://nightly.mozilla.org/ and retest the problem.
