in most places each panel is called a "Tab"
unless one right clicks on the file tab shaped widget,
in which case they are called "Panels" (Hide Panel, etc).
I like the term Panel more. Maybe a focus group has decided?

Bug morphed to rename sidebar context menu items from ``Hide Panel'' and
``Swicth to Panel'' to ``Hide Tab'' and ``Swicth to Tab'' for consistency.
