Steps to reproduce:

Open any page, use the share this page button to share a page with gmail.
Click again on share this page button.
Click out the page


Actual results:

A new tab was opened with address jar:file:///opt/firefox/browser/omni.ja!/chrome/browser/content/browser/aboutProviderDirectory.xhtml
When click out the page, another tab opens at address data:text/plain;charset=utf8,


Expected results:

Stay at same page, do not open new tabs, just open a new dialog from gmail to compose email

The bug did happen once on Firefox Nightly 43.0a1 (2015-09-13). (jar url..) 
(not with the exact described steps). 

Also, it opened the gmail compose view in the whole tab, not only in the popup.

After restarting the browser now I'm able to share multiple and consecutive times with gmail, g+, etc; so I can't figure out how to describe/reproduce it on Ffox nightly. Also tried to rm/re-add the providers, but it's working.

Also got the issue in Firefox 42.0 and previous versions as well.

For me, the issue happens almost always after sharing a first time. The second time I try to share, I have the issue described above (Gmail page opened as a new tab, not in the "Share this page" popin) from any tab (either the one of the first share or any other already opened or even newly opened).

When closing the "Share this page" view (by clicking outside the view), another tab is also opened pointing to "data:text/plain;charset=utf8,".

I have the issue on 2 machines:
- one with Mac OS X 10.11.1
- one with Mac OS X 10.10.5

both with Firefox 42.0.

I able to share using g-mail. Are you still able to reproduce in the latest version ?

It seems to be working now on 42.0~linuxmint1+betsy, debian 8.2
