When composing a new email it would be very helpful if these were sorted alphabetically by email address (best as option), and not show up in a willy-nilly fashion. Actual results: List of email identities is unsorted. Expected results: Display sorted list of email identities.

I don't think we want this, bug 384303 would be the better solution.

That would be very nice as well. One has to wonder how such an essential feature, reported almost 10 years ago, has been left out so far.
