Details
Reproducible on Firefox 38.3.0 ESR build 2, 41.0b9, latest 42.0a2 and 43.0a1 (from 2015-09-16) Affected platforms: Windows 7 64-bit, Mac OS X 10.9.5 and Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch Firefox. 2. Open a New Tab page. 3. Drag&drop a thumbnail into New Tab Page Search bar. Expected result: New Tab Page Search bar is filled with thumbnail's URL. Actual result: New Tab Page Search bar is empty. Additional notes: 1. Browser console output: 'TypeError: aTarget is null' thrown by newTab.js:1820:9 and, intermittently, 'TypeError: gDrag.draggedSite is null' thrown by newTab.js:1785:9 is displayed too. 2. When a thumbnail is dragged to another New Tab Page Search bar, the input is filled in the URL and 'SearchSuggestionController: Non-200 status or empty HTTP response: 400' thrown by SearchSuggestionController.jsm:337:0 present in Browse Console. 3. Reproduces back to Fx 37.0.1.
