When browsing the above URL, a pop-up window appears. When selecting the close button, the entire browser crashes. The pop-up window appears to be using Macromedia Flash. The site also appears to contain a great deal of JavaScript (or ECMA Script, or whatever). I have seen no other problems with the Flash plugin, and it works correctly on the Macromedia Flash Player test page. I have seen this in Netscape 6.2, and a colleague has confirmed it also occurs in Mozilla 0.9.7 (both on Windows NT/2000). about:plugins on Netscape 6.2 gives me: ----- File name: C:\Program Files\netscape\Netscape 6\plugins\npswf32.dll Shockwave Flash 5.0 r41 ----- I have not seen this problem in Linux Mozilla builds.

Michael, here's your stack. So far you are the unique crasher at this particular signature on the Trunk (build 2002011809). Can you try a more recent build and verify the crash still occurs?

I observed this in Netscape 6.2 (build id: 20011019 - Mozilla 0.9.3/0.9.4ish). It was Chris Veenboer who reproduced this in a 20010118 build. After you suggested I try a more recent build, I downloaded 0.9.7 (build id: 2001122106), installed it and the latest Flash plugin from Netscape.com (still 5.0 r41), and the crash occurs there too (talkback submitted). greer: the stack means nothing to me. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help. (trying to confirm & set status -> NEW as this has been reproduced by 3 different persons)
