User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:40.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/40.0 Build ID: 20150826023504 Steps to reproduce: The ftp directory for Firefox 41.0 final appears to be missing the win32-EME-free build. I didn't notice anything related to getting rid of it in bug list for that release; is this an oversight or something intentional that just didn't get release noted? Actual results: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/41.0/ is missing a win32-EME-free directory. Expected results: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/41.0/ should have a win32-EME-free directory like http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/40.0.3/ does.

Appears that a .mar update (from FF 40 to FF 41) will maintain EME-Free status (at least Help | About continues to show EME-Free & about:addons does not mention "Primetime Content Decryption Module"), but that does not excuse the fact that there is no stand-alone FF 41 EME-Free version available for download.

Maybe this is a Depends of Bug 1205397 - repacked eme-free builds ? (which then is a blocker to Bug 1181183, which we/I don't have access to).

This wasn't done on purpose. I confirm this is a bug.

EME builds were produced and sent up to the private partner s3 bucket rather than the normal location. Should be easy enough to move those but I wouldn't be able to do that.

I've copied the EME-Free repacks over: http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/41.0/win32-EME-free/ (Also available in the candidates dir for build #3)

The installer you copied over seems to work fine for me. Thanks. I trigger updates manually and I don't run as an administrator, so the regular installers are somewhat important on this machine.

It seems the underlying issue was not fixed, as it is again missing from 41.0.1.

(In reply to Garrett Holmstrom from comment #8) > It seems the underlying issue was not fixed, as it is again missing from > 41.0.1. The entire process has changed and is not automated yet, no. New builds are available now: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/41.0.1/win32-EME-free/
