44.0a1 (2015-09-22) User agent: "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.10; rv:44.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/44.0" STR: 1.) Start Firefox Nightly with a fresh profile 2.) Click Help -> Firefox Tour 3.) When the page loads, click the green "Let's go" button in the door hanger to start the tour. 4.) When the bottom panel opens and shows the first step of the tour, click the 'x' button to minimize the tour. Expected results: The tour panel should transition smoothly to the minimized state. Actual results: The CSS transform flickers badly, and the panel jumps around the screen while animating.

I see the same flicker in Nightly on Windows 10, so it does not seem to be limited to just OSX

Alex, thanks for reporting this bug and finding the regression window. Bug 1097464 landed in Firefox 43 so I would expect this to affect our latest Aurora builds as well at this point. Could you please check one of the 43.0a2 builds from http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora/ ? Thinker, can you please look in to this since it was your change which introduced the regression?

Yes, I can confirm that the regression is also present in the Firefox 43 builds linked in Comment 5.

I believe this is a duplication of Bug 1206418. There is already a patch to fix that.

(In reply to Thinker Li [:sinker] from comment #7) > I believe this is a duplication of Bug 1206418. There is already a patch to fix that. Thanks, I'll add that as a dependency. Alex, please watch that bug and check to see if this is fixed when that patch lands.
