When doing chrome style changes, it is often required to test on multiple operating systems to make sure it still looks good. What I would love to see in devtools is a way to connect to different remote targets and apply a common style to all of the targets, and also be able to add target-specific rules. Bonus points for being able to edit an existing sheet that is loaded on multiple targets. This way I could load up a windows and linux VM, connect to all targets, and instantly see how changing a common rule will look like on other OS.

The general problem of having a single toolbox target multiple targets is a hard one to solve. jryans has some stuff up his sleeves for this, so I'll him comment on this. I'll just say that this sounds like a pretty great devtools feature to have.
As Patrick said, I'll soon be working on something related to this. Current plans are focused on multiple viewports of a single website, instead of multiple browsers, but much of the infrastructure needed should be similar. I'll depend on that work for now, and we'll see how far that gets us. Thanks for the bug, this is a cool idea!
Depends on: multiple-viewports-v1
Summary: Apply the same style rules to multiple (remote) targets → Apply the same style rules to multiple (remote) browser targets
