When the script execution is stopped within the 'load' or 'DOMContentLoaded' event handler, it may happen that the Inspector panel stays empty. Because at that point in time the page structure is already loaded (and probably even manipulated), the markup view should show it. Sebastian

I think it's fair to wait for bug 1151909 to be fixed first. This will make the markup-view display content on the DOMContentLoaded event rather than have to wait for the load event as we do now.
