Steps to reproduce:

$ hg clone mozilla-central
$ echo 'Michael Schloh von Bennewitz' >>AUTHORS

...that last command is pseudocode.


Actual results:

Added a line to AUTHORS in order to acknowledge a developer contribution. Specifically, bug 1123480 [1] was resolved [2] and a test accounted for.

Expected results:

A line is added to AUTHORS.

Afaik, mozorg should pull this data periodically from source. As long as the steps are followed correctly for adding to the list then all should be well. If not please feel free to reopen this bug. Thanks!
