They may appear at random after using an Editor for even a short period of time.
Only one of them remains active, though...

I'm pretty sure the submitter meant "carets", not "cursors."  We use the term
"caret" to indicate the blinky thing that shows you where your selection is, if
your selection is collapsed (between objects, as opposed to extended, meaning
one or more whole objects are selected.)  "cursor" refers to the mouse pointing
device.
To try to get a more specific bug, does scrolling matter?  We know about caret
problems when scrolling is involved.  Can you get into a bad state with more
than one caret if you do not scroll, or only if you do scroll?

Yes, I can get more than one caret without scrolling.  I just double-checked
this...

I am still seeing this happen...I can easily
reproduce it also...in 9/15 builds..
Let's be precise here. Do you see multiple carets in one edit field, or the
caret in more than on edit field at a time?
I have a sixth sense. I see dead carrats in different places
in the document, depending on where I clicked before the active
carat. I can show you....

Hey kin. Did your changes make this better, or is this still a problem on
windows?
It's been a while since I've seen any caret cruft. Most of the problems were
fixed in M10 and M11.
I also don't see any caret zombies anymore.....can close this one out...
