RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1196662

People

(Reporter: ggg123david, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:41.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/41.0
Build ID: 20150917150946

Steps to reproduce:

Thunderbird doesn't check for messages at startup and doesn't check for new messages every 3 minutes as I set it to several months ago. I haven't changed anything but there was an update a couple or so weeks ago and I believe it happened then.

Actual results:

I remember this bug popping up a couple of years ago and it was fixed somehow. Now it's back.

There's a fix suggested here, but I can't choose "Set as Default" it is greyed out since I only have 1 account (used to have 2 but deleted one two months ago):

I set it to chekc for new mail every 3 minutes and it did, until a few weeks ago. But it does check sporadically, don't know how often exactly but probably hours between checks.
Sound like it can be the same as Bug 1196662, although I use Power Save Mode, and it does check mail sporadically
David, thanks for reporting.

From what you say, I hope you can agree to close this as duplicate of Bug 1196662 for now. The fix for that bug is bug 1197152 which will land any day from now with TB 38.3.0. When TB updates to TB 38.3.0, please report back if the problem is gone or not. If not, feel free to reopen for further analysis. Thanks.

Seems to be working now in 38.3 (tried from power save mode & that it checks every 3 minutes)
Good work guys thanks
